About BiomeLens
BiomeLens is the specialised bioinformatics and scientific-analysis unit of G-Projukti. Our work combines bioinformatics, study-aware statistics and biological interpretation, organised around the requirements of each research project.
An integrated scientific approach
Our work starts with the research question and hypothesis, then examines experimental design, sample relationships and metadata. These determine which comparisons the data can support and where uncertainty needs to be addressed.
Scientific judgement guides method selection, model assumptions and the evaluation of competing biological explanations.
Our focus is on traceable evidence: from input data and analytical decisions to results, figures and interpretation.
We define relevant comparisons, required metadata and the scope of inference before choosing analytical methods.
We document methods, key parameters and analytical decisions, with outputs organised for review and reporting.
We interpret patterns in their scientific context, distinguishing supported evidence from predictions and hypotheses.
Explore our analytical capabilities
Scientific expertise and advisory input support method selection, biological interpretation and the assessment of analytical limitations. Contributions are matched to the scientific needs of each project.
Dr. Ashutosh Parab is a microbiologist and researcher with experience in microbial ecology, marine microbiology, genomics, metagenomics and sequencing-data analysis. His work contributes expertise in microbial community analysis, environmental microbiology, ecological statistics and biological interpretation.
At BiomeLens, he contributes scientific advisory input to selected research and analytical projects.
Experience in environmental microbiology, pollution research and biogeochemistry informs how we interpret microbial patterns in context.
We consider measured environmental conditions, study design and annotation uncertainty alongside sequence-based results. This helps distinguish observed patterns, plausible mechanisms and questions that need further evidence.
BiomeLens provides bioinformatics and data analysis services. Laboratory sequencing, DNA/RNA extraction and wet-lab sample processing are not part of our services.
